Violence against women is a problem we all must attack with no hesitation, and one way of doing this is through design and visual messages.
November 25 is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, a cause that continues to gain strength. Many women continue to live in complicated and vulnerable conditions and there are alarming data that indicate this type of hate crimes are far away from being eradicated.
Just in Mexico there are figures that state 47% of women older of 15 have suffered some kind of violence: physical, sexual, emotional or economic. Also, gender murders have increased in a 30%.
The issue places itself as one of the most serious problems of modern society. Then, visual creativity has a wide field to act and also a great responsibility to make people aware of the risks women are exposed to just for their gender.
Here we show you some examples of visual creativity that support the fighting against violence towards women. These are rough images that aim for making people aware about this problem.
